Sandeep Lamichhane in PSL 4 so far

Sandeep Lamichhane, the teenager spinning sensation from Nepal is doing really a great job in ongoing Pakistan Super League. He has already grabbed 10 wickets from 4 matches which is third highest in the tournament. Only less than Hassan Ali (16 wickets from 6 matches) and his teammate Haris Rauf (11 wickets from 7 matches).
Sandeep Lamichhane has taken four Powerplay wickets, the joint-most of any spinner in this PSL so far, alongside Mohammad Nawaz. Lamichhane’s economy of 2.60 is by far the best of any spinner in this phase though.
Let’s have a short look at his performance and all 10 victims.

(4-0-46-3) in PSL debut vs Multan Sultans

1. James Vince
The Englishman Vince became the 1st ever wicket of Lamichhane in PSL. While he was playing destructively, he miss timed the short ball and was caught at wide long on.
2. Shoaib Malik
Sandeep grabbed the second wicket in PSL 4. Malik who was Lamichhane’s teammate in ICC world xi 2018 mistimed his slog down the ground. As a result, he became Lamichhane’s 2nd wicket.
3. Andre Russel
While playing a slog hit, Russel miss-timed it and Lamichhane calls for himself and took an easy catch. With this wicket young bowler claimed 3 in debut match.

4-0-20-1 vs Quetta Gladiators

4. Ahsan Ali
Ahsan Ali who has represented Pakistan in u-15s and u-19s was unable to play Sandeep’s googly as it rushed into him. Ali was the single victim of Lamichhane in that match.

5. Shane Watson
Watson was unable to read Sandeep’s wrong ‘un and it struck on the pad as his bat gets jammed behind it. This was the second time young leggie dismissed Watson. Earlier he dismissed Watson on BBL.
6. Rilee Rossouw
South African superstar was caught by another South African at the point. Rossow literally played a cut shot with a cross bat to hand a simple catch for Wiese.
7. Umar Akmal
Umar Akmal tried to drive the ball through cover leaving a big gap between bat and pad, as a result, he was clean bowled on same over. Meanwhile, Lamichhane was aiming at his best T20 figure.
8. Danish Aziz
Aziz gloved a ball while trying to play a reverse hit and a slip fielder grabbed a simple catch. Therefore, young Lamichhane upgraded his best T20 figure as 4/10

4-0-17-2 vs Karachi Kings

9. Colin Munro
T20I’s number 2 batsman became the 9th victim of Sandeep as his inside-out drive went straight to the diving fielder at mid-off. 
10. Babar Azam
Sandeep bowled Azam with a ripper. Meanwhile, Lamichhane removed the World’s No.1 and No.2 T20 batsmen, most importantly in the same match.
