Team News:

Ireland: 22-year-old batsman Lorcan Tucker could be in line for a debut after being picked in the squad. The bowling attack is likely to be seam heavy with Dockrell providing the sole spin option. Although Ireland could also pick Andy McBrine if the Malahide surface necessitates two slow bowlers.

Possible XI: William Porterfield, Paul Stirling, Andrew Balbirnie, Lorcan Tucker, Gary Wilson, Kevin O’Brien, George Dockrell, McCarthy, Stuart Thompson, Tim Murtagh, Boyd Rankin

England: As well as Archer, Surrey’s Ben Foakes is in line for an ODI debut after being called up to the squad to replace Sam Billings who dislocated his shoulder last week playing for Kent. Without the rested Moeen Ali, England will likely go into the game with one spinner in Adil Rashid.

Possible XI: James Vince, Joe Denly, Joe Root, Eoin Morgan, Dawid Malan, Ben Foakes, Jofra Archer, David Willey, Adil Rashid, Tom Curran, Liam Plunkett
