We do not have long history of T20 cricket. It was 2006 when ICC introduced it’s shortest format of international cricket. T20 cricket changed the face of cricket overnight and redefined cricket in its own way. The perk of having T20 format is that it is more entertaining than any other format. With the introduction of shortest format of the game many cricket leagues were introduced in subsequent years. Biggest T20 franchise league in the world started its journey in the form of Indian Premier League(IPL).

IPL completely changed the way of playing cricket. Players are the one who is advantaged most by Indian Premire League. Not only for Indian players but for the players throughout the world it has been a biggest platform to showcase his talent. It paves the way to get into the National side. More than failure we have success stories in IPL. It’s a stage for young player to build up his career, even an out of form player can make a comeback to the team.

Talent meets talent here. Diversified cricketing world becomes a single fist in an IPL. Cultural exchange is another merit of it. From early all out to last ball thriller, IPL has already hosted its eleventh edition. Meanwhile, 12th edition of IPL is just a month away.

During this 11 years of time, many players have flaunted their talents. Similarly it has always been a forum to answer the critics. For many players IPL has turned out to be a once in a lifetime opportunity to prove their worth. Thus, it is a place where a star is born. Let us look at some players who has become a global star now.

Jasrpit Bumrah

He started his IPL career as a bowler from Mumbai Indians. His impressive bowling figure gave him more opportunity to play for Mumbai Indians. Bumrah surprised everyone with his bowling figures. The very next year after his IPL debut, he became a key man for Mumbai Indians. Jaspit Bumrah slowly came to the limelight with his deadly yorkers and lethal bowling in death overs. He then replaced legendary Lasith Malinga in the team as a death over specialist. Decent IPL performance earned him a place in an Indian cricket team. He has been leading a Indian pace attack eversince. Bumrah kept shining in International cricket and has already became the no. 1 ODI bowler . Nevertheless he is a global superstar now.

Hardik Pandya

Hardik Pandya made his debut in IPL playing from Mumbai Indians. He made his place in the Mumbai Indians team as a bowling all-rounder . Life took a new turn ever since he joined Mumbai Indians. He has been consistently delivering for his team either with bat or ball. Pandya is now a match winner for Mumbai Indians. Pandya got a call from Indian national team after his applauding performance in IPL. Indian team found its perfect all rounder as Hardik Pandya. He has already played for national team in all forms of cricket. From nobody to becoming a mega star the journey has been quite amazing for Pandya.

Rashid Khan

Afghanistan is new to the world cricket as full member nation. In 2016, the 19 year Young sensation from Afghanistan got a chance to play in IPL from Sunrisers Heydrabad. This Afghani wonder boy way dispayed his talent in IPL and shocked the world. Even the world class batsman were unable to read his googly. He took more than 15 wickets in his debut year in IPL. People started noticing him and are never tired of praising his mystery bowling. Rashid made his impact not only with the bowl but also with the bat. He has been playing in different league across the world where he is making a mark. He is a mega star now and a go to person for his team and his country.

Sandeep Lamichhanne

Sandeep Lamichhanne made his IPL debut at the age of 17 playing from Delhi Daredevils in 2018. He doesn’t have a long IPL history cause he played only three matches in IPL 2018. But those three matches were enough to introduce his name to the world cricket. In three matches he picked up five wickets and started his career with a bang. He is the first ever player from Nepal to play in IPL.

After playing in IPL, he got picked in different T20 leagues like CPL, BBL, PSL, BPL and other T10 leagues. He proved his talent in all these league and gain everyone’s attention. This young leggie is already picked up by Delhi Capitals for IPL 2019. No doubt he will continue to showcase his magical performance in IPL 2019 too. Nobody would have known this talented leggie if he wasn’t picked in IPL. Sandeep is now a global T20 star.
