Archer included in final World Cup squad of England

Jofra Archer and Liam Dawson have been included in the England squad for the Cricket World Cup.

Dawson was not in England’s preliminary 15-man group but makes the final line-up announced on Tuesday.

Archer was also omitted from the initial squad but the Barbados-born paceman has been named after making a positive impression in England’s 4-0 one-day international series defeat of Pakistan.

The final squad has three changes from the initial squad: Archer, Liam Dawson and James Vince get in while David Willey, Joe Denly and Alex Hales miss out.

With the involvement of Jofra Archer, the mighty English side turns sharper. Bowling line up is boosted up with Jofra’s inclusion. Furthermore, Dawson is included as the backup spinner with Rashid and Ali already on the squad.

James Vince replaces Alex Hales who was kicked out from the due the drug use. It is almost sure Vince will not get the game unless one is injured.

The hosts are regarded as the most strong side of the tournament. With strong side and home benefit, England certainly are eyeing on the trophy. World Cup campaign will be started with England taking on South Africa which will be played at the Oval.
